Folk's bake off

To raise money for the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea initiative, we stirred up a little healthy competition, with a not‑so‑healthy one.

We indulged in a Bake Off.

Bake a cake. Bring it in. Give and take (donate and eat). Bring it on!

Our neighbour, and professional cake baker, Birgitta (of Birgitta’s Kitchen) graciously sampled and judged our home made efforts.

The heat was on… for about twenty minutes.

And the winners of the coveted gold, silver and bronze wooden spoons…?

Carolyn rose to the top with her iced lemon cake. Scott took silver. And Graham pinched bronze.

It was great fun and for a great cause.
